I just spent the last 5 days with my family on vacation in South Dakota. For so many reasons, and on many different levels we really needed this time together. We spent time with my husband's family while attending our niece's wedding. We also got to visit the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Black Hills Caverns, Thunder Falls, 1880s Town, and the Homestead. I truly believe our children had a wonderful time and I sensed a relaxed"ness" in the oldest three. This past year has been difficult for all of us, but especially for them. This trip allowed them to be part of something really wonderful and establish their place in our family. I believe this has been a memorable trip for all of us. A true "family vacation!"
